Pakistan Air force Base Karachi Attacked By Militants

Pakistan Air force Base at Karachi was attacked by 12-15 militants with rockets and hand grenades and destroyed two navy support aircraft including one P3 Orion anti submarine 4 engine plane.
The attack on the base jointly used by the navy, air force and army aviation, came under attack
at 10-45 pm Sunday night when 12-15 heavily armed militants entered the well guarded base compound from three sides. Flames rising could be seen from miles after five explosives were blasted immediately after the attack.Security forces immediately engaged the militants and the gun battle continued till morning of Monday. Six of the militants are reported to be killed by the security forces but rests of the militants are holding their position in a building with heavy arms and ammunition.
Security forces have surrounded the militants and trying to capture them alive.
Media men have not been allowed to enter the air base. Security across the country has been put on high alert.
