A Palestinian women mountaineer, Suzanne al-Houby from United Arab Emirates has become the first Arab women to conquer the Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world.
Lady Suzanne al-Houby said “Becoming the first Arab woman to reach the top of the world was an enormous thrill and a great privilege,"
"I would like to share this triumph with the Palestinian people and all Arabs -- especially all the Arab women, young and old, who continue to contribute to the peace and stability of the region we all call home." she said
Al-Houby, 40 lives in United Arab Emirates. She took 51 days to scale the Mount Everest making it final on the peak on May 21, said a news report.
