Aisamul Huq- Rojer Won Estoril Doubles Final

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan with  his Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer outplayed Juilan Knowle and David Marrero to win the doubles final of the Estoril Open with a 7-5,7-5 straight hit.

To reach the final for the win, Aisamul Huque and Jean Julien Rojer had defeated the French duo of Richard Gasquet and Roger Vasseln 6-3, 6-1 in the semi-final.

In the other semi-final, Knowle and Marrero beat Mikhail Elgin and Denis Istomin 7-6 (4) 5-7, 10-6 to make in the final..

Shahid Afridi bought a ‘No Objection Ticket’ worth 4.5 million rupees to play county and other cricket tournament after he appeared before the disciplinary committee of the Pakistani cricket board as per the deal on Thursday. Afridi said that he accepted his mistake but would not apologise to the PCB because he was forced to take the step he took.

Pakistan Cricket Board is considering to Zimbabwe as its home ground to play the next series with Sri Lanka as one of the option after Sri Lankan refused to play in Pakistan due to security reasons. The other two options are UAE and Sri Lanka.

The next series with Sri Lanka is scheduled in October-November with three Tests, five one-dayers and a Twenty20 matches.

 Indian cricket board is firm on its stand not to go for Decision Review System (DRS) during the next four-Test cricket series against England beginning in July.
News report said “The Board for Cricket Control in India sent official notification to the England and Wales Cricket Board that it does not want the system to be used in the series (in July)."
Indian cricket stalwarts Sachen tendulkar and Mahendharsingh Dhoni have been opposing the DRS long before 2011 world cup.
It is essential for the use of DRS that both the cricket Boards agree to use the system.

The Sindh High Court has suspended Pakistan cricket Board’s disciplinary committee meeting on June 8  scheduled ealier to hear Shahid Afridi to defend  himself against the  case of misconduct alleged by the PCB  on his retirement from International cricket.

Afridi, through his lawyers, has filed a petition in the Sindh high court against PCB’s actions against him pleading that actions taken against him by PCB were illegal.

 Shahid Afridi, a super star and a former captain of Pakistan cricket team has appointed two lawyers, Syed Zafar Ali and Mahmood Mandiwala to manage the  legal aspect of  his conflict with the Pakistan cricket board.
 Syed Zafar Ali Shah said addressing a press conference with Afridi on Monday that Afridi would l not appear before the disciplinary committee of the board. The BCCP had earlier issued notice to Shahid Afridi to appear before a three member disciplinary committee to face the charges of misconduct.

Shahid Afridi’s supporters in London staged a protest in support of the all rounder asking the chairman PCB to stop victimization of cricketers on personal liking and disliking.

Afridi’s fan in hundreds gathered in Soutall and staged a demonstration with play cards in their hands and chanted slogans in Afridi’s favour on Friday. The protesters called upon the Pakistani government to resolve the issue and ensure Afridi’s return to international cricket so that he can take part in Hampshire County Championship.

The protestors demanded that cancellation of Afridi’s NOC be withdrawn so that they can see the flamboyant cricketer in action.
