Bangladesh National Carrier BIMAN Facing Crisis

Bangladesh airline BIMAN is facing serous financial crisis as it has no money to pay salary to their staff on payroll. The national career had to borrow 200 million Taka from a local bank to pay the April salary to its
2,600 employees, said a news report.
Biman officials requesting anonymity said  "The situation is so grim that a Biman DC-10 aircraft requiring an extensive maintenance check has been in a local hangar for over 40 days, as Biman's London office is unable to buy spare parts due to  fund constraint,"
Officials further disclosed that BIMAN Airline is almost in a bankrupt situation.
