Li Na Makes History Wins French Open Title

Le Na made history for china when she slammed the defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy to become the first Chinese to win the grand slam singles title in the French Open on Saturday.
Le Na, 29 year old from Wuhan crushed Francesca Schiavone with her thrilling shots in a 6-4, 7-6 (7/0) clean sweep.
Thrilled, excited and jubilant Le Na said “I was 4-2 up and she tried to come back, but I just had to stand up again and I made it. I think everyone in China will be so excited,”
Li Na dominated from the beginning of the fight and in the end a 7-0 sweep made her the historic Chinese Grand Slam women’s champion.
She is the the first Chinese and the first Asian to win the title in the world of tennis.
