Pakistani Ahmedis Arrested In Thailand To be Freed

Government in Thailand has announced its decision to release over a hundred Pakistani asylum seeking refugees under detention by security forces since December 2010. The group of refugees includes women and children of families and a baby was reported to be born in detention center.
The group under detention belongs to the Ahmedi sect in Pakistan who travelled to Thailand to seek political asylum but was taken into custody by security forces on charge of illegal entry.
Thai committee of refugees has confirmed that they are working to obtain release of the detained Pakistan.
