Helicopter With CM Missing In India


Itanagar,Gouhati, April 30, 2011

An Indian helicopter carrying Aruna Chal Chief Minister and other four on board went missing since Saturday morning.

Dorajee Khandu,the chief minister, left Tawang in a Eurocopter B3 craft helicopter at 9-50 AM Saturday morning and was schedule to reach Naharlagun helipad at 11-30 AM but the helicopter lost contact with the base after twenty minuets and was reported missing since then, news report said.

Those accompanied Dorajee Khandu in the Eurocopter B-3, were his security officer deputy superintendent of police Yeshi Choddak, Yeshi Lamu, the sister of Tawang MLA Tsewang Dhondup. The crew men were two pilots, Captain B S Babbar and Captain K S Malick. The weather was reported to be fair.

Rescue team searching the area is yet to confirm that the helicopter has crashed. Search operation is still being carried out with two Cheetah helicopters fearing the worst,
