Commission To Probe Abbottabad OBL Incident

 ISLAMABAD: A high level commission has been constituted by the government to probe into the mysterious presence of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabd and the US violation of Pakistani air space, said a news report.

The commission will be headed by Justice Javed Iqbal. Other members of the commission include former Justice Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim, former diplomat Ashraf Jahangir,  former Chairman ERRA Lieutenant General
(retd) Nadeem Ahmad and former IG Abbas Khan.  Nargis Sethi, secretary cabinet division has been included as the secretary of the commission.

The commission has given mandate:
i)     To ascertain the full facts regarding the presence of
         Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
ii)    To investigate circumstances and facts regarding
        US operation in Abbottabad on May 2, 2011.
iii)   To determine the nature, background and causes of
        Lapses of the concerned authorities, if any.
iv)   To make consequential recommendations.
       The commission would thoroughly investigate into the tragic incident.

Meanwhile PML of Nawaz Sharif has objected to the formation of the commission on the ground that they were not consulted.
