Three Senior Bank Officials Kidnapped In Karachi

 KARACHI: Three senior bank officials are believed to have been kidnapped from Steal town area while they were coming back after a dinner at the Country Club near Karachi.  They had been missing since Monday. Police has found their abandoned cars from the road side bushes, a news report said.

Police official said “The incident came to our notice when the area police spotted an abandoned car near the club,”-------- “Finding it suspicious, they checked the record and came to know that the car belongs to a senior SBP official”. He said that the victims had left the country club restaurant at 09-45 pm after having dinner.

The police official further said “The cell phones of all the three persons were found switched off and no contact has been made from any side. We registered a case (FIR 112/2011) under Sections 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified persons,”

 The missing officials have been named in a local press as Najmus-saqib Bashir of State bank of Pakistan, Asif Shahzad , senior vice president of a commercial bank and Nadim Bhargarhi of ministry of finance.

Till now there is no report of claiming ransom from any group. The DIG investigation is conducting a probe into the incident.
