IMF Chief Arrested By New York Police

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was arrested by New York police late Saturday for sexually assaulting a hotel maid at the midtown Sofitel New York Hotel.
Strauss-Kahn was arrested from an Air France flight moment before take off at 2:15 am (0615 GMT) on
Sunday on charges of criminal sexual assault, unlawful imprisonment and attempted rape.

The 32-year-old maid filed a complained of sexual assault on her against the IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
Paul Browne, the New York police spokes man giving detail of the incident said: “She told detectives he came out of the bathroom naked, ran down a hallway to the foyer where she was, pulled her into a bedroom and began to sexually assault her, according to her account.”
“She pulled away from him and he dragged her down a hallway into the bathroom where he engaged in a criminal sexual act, according to her account to detectives. He tried to lock her into the hotel room,” the alleged incident occurred around 1 pm (1700GMT) on Saturday.
Strauss-Kahn is to be produced before the court judge later on Sunday.
