PNS Mehran Base At Karachi Taken Back From Terrorist

Pakistan Naval Base ‘PNS-Mehran’  connected with the Air force Faisal Base at Karachi was taken back by the security forces from the terrorist after a 16 hours gun battle. The forces killed 4 of the 6 militants and the other managed to escape. 10 security men were killed and 15 were in the operation.

Terrorists armed with automatic guns, rockets and grenades attacked the naval base at Shahrah e Faisal and destroyed two 4 engine P3 Orion anti submarine aircraft.
The attack on the base, jointly used by the navy, air force and army aviation, came under attack at 1030 pm on Sunday when 6 heavily armed terrorist entered the well guarded base compound from three sides. Flames rising from the destroyed aircraft could be seen from miles after five explosives were blasted immediately after the attack.
Terrorists were so heavily armed that they did not give in till 12 noon Monday when the forces hauled them up. Four of the terrorist were finally killed and two managed to escape.
