Afridi Makes Deal With PCB, Gets NOC To Play Abroad

KARACHI:   June 15, 2011

The result of the Tuesday’s heads down meeting between Shahid Afridi and Ijaz Butt, worked out with the efforts of politicians, government officials and genuine cricket lovers, came into shape today when Shahid Afridi agreed on deal with PCB and withdrew his petition   against the Board from the Sindh High Court (SHC) Wednesday morning.

In return, PCB has agreed to issue a no objection certificate (NOC) to the all rounder to proceed on his plan to play for Hampshire and later in the Sri Lanka Premier League.

The all rounder had earlier filed a petition in the Sindh High court against Pakistan Cricket Board punishing him for allegedly breach code of conduct. Afridi had pleaded that PCB’s action him was illegal.
