Devvarman knocked out By Russian Mikhail Youzhny
LONDON: Russian 18th seed Mikhail Youzhny, smashed India's Somdev Devvarman in the second round out of Wimbledon on Thursday sailing through a 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 triumph.
Devvarman ,, world’s 68 in ranking, made it into Round 2 when his German rival Denis Gremelmayr left the fight in the middle of the match giving the Indian a 6-4, 4-2 win on Tuesday as he felt sick.
Mikhail Youzhny faced no challenge from the Indian. He was in control of the match from the start and made a clean victory Knocking Devvaraman out of the Wimbledon.
