High Court Suspends PCB’s Committee against Shaihid Afridi

The Sindh High Court has suspended Pakistan cricket Board’s disciplinary committee meeting on June 8 scheduled ealier to hear Shahid Afridi to defend himself against the case of misconduct alleged by the PCB on his retirement from International cricket.
Afridi, through his lawyers, has filed a petition in the Sindh high court against PCB’s actions against him pleading that actions taken against him by PCB were illegal.
Afridi’s lawyer Mahmud Mandviwala said “We have filed a petition in the SHC against the sanctions on our client Afridi and have appealed for a stay order against the punishments against him,"
A two-member bench of the Sindh High court, comprising Chief Justice Musheer Alam and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi took up the case Monday morning in the Chief Justice Chamber and admitted the case for hearing.
In a short order passed Monday morning, the bench stopped Pakistan Cricket Board from holding disciplinary committee meeting against Shahid Afridi and issued notices to Cricket board’s official to produce themselves before the court on June 9 for hearing of the cae..
