Infosys To Have The   finest boards to handle new strategy: Narayana Murthy

BANGALORE:  June 12, 2011
 Infosys has promoted three company veterans to the board of Directors and included a lady, Ann M Fudge as additional director. The decision was taken in the company’s 30the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday under the Founder Chairman NR Narayana Murthy who is to say goodbye in August this year.
The outgoing Narayan Murthi said “With these additions, Infosys will have one of the finest boards the company has ever had to handle this transformation to 3.0"
The company's founder and outgoing chairman NR Narayana Murthy said that. Infosys 3.0 was the new strategy the company has unveiled to transition from an IT solutions provider to a business solutions provider.
The next Chairman of Infosys, KV Kamnath said on the occasion on the induction of Ann M fudge   "This completes the structure we had wanted. It will give us medium term continuity,"
Chief financial officer V Balakrishnan, Senior VP and head of manufacturing BG Srinivas and head of banking and financial services Ashok Vemuri have been appointed to the board as executive directors, with immediate effect.  Ann Fudge would be joining the board from October.
Ann Fudge has served as member board of many multinationals and presently on the board of Unilever, Novartis AG and General Electric.
The founder Chairman of Infosys MK Narayan Murthi will say goodbye on reaching the age of 65 in August. KV Kamath will take over as the non-executive chairman.  S D Shibulal, one of the co founders will take over as the chief executive from S Gopalakrishnan.
 Gopalakrishnan   will become the executive chairman of Infosys, news report said.
