India test fired Prithvi-II, Declared Successful

India successfully test-fired it’s indigenously developed surface to surface Prithvi II ballistic missile on Thursday. The missile was fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, about 230 km east of Bhubaneswar at 9 am Indian time, said a news report.
The ballistic missile Prithvi II, claimed to be the first indigenous surface to surface strategic missile, capable of carrying nuclear warhead and attacking targets beyond 350 km.
The target was preset somewhere in the Bay of Bengal which is said to be hit by the missile with a very high accuracy. The test was declared successful.
