Suicide Bomber Killed 18 In Nowshehra Pakistan

NOWSHERA: June 6, 2011

A suicide bomber blasted a busy bakery on the mall road of Nowshehra killing 18 people and wounding 45 at 8-45 pm on Sunday. Amongst the injured, 12 are reported to be in critical condition. They are being treated in the combined military hospital.

Due to the blast the bakery caught fire and caused kitchen gas cylinders to explode for another blasts. Nearby restaurants and shops also caught fire playing havoc in the area.

Bomb disposal officials said that head of the teenager bomber have been found who used 8 kg of explosive for the attack. So far, only three bodies have been be identified as Kamran, Sajjad Hussain and a six-year-old girl Wafa.

The injured have been named as Mohammad Sharif, Arshad, Imran, Captain Hasnat, Mohammad Irshad, Adnan Sharif, Zaman Sharif, Luqman Sharif, Faizan Ali Shah, Amjad, Ibrahim, Umar Quresh, Minhajullah Malik, Bilal, Ibrahim , Asadullah, Abdullah, Shahan and Mohammad Imran.

News report said that rescue team and fire brigade could not promptly reach the spot.
