85 killed In Karachi Ethnic Riot, ANP Blamed
July 8, 2011,

21 people were killed on Friday to bring the death toll to 85 as blood shed started in Karachi since the ANP supporters attacked the Urdu speaking residents of Qasba colony of Orangi Township on Tuesday. The MQM has said that the near by settlement of Awami National Party (ANP), a Peshawar based pushtoon party was responsible for most of the brutal killings of innocent residents of the Orangi Township.

Imam of an ANP controlled mosque in Qasba was heard announcing on P.A. system that killing of Urdu speaking population of Karachi is Jihad and justified.  Many of the locals have heard the pushtoon Mullah saying that. This was also verified by a participant in an ARY TV program ‘11th Hour by Wasim Badami broad cast on 7th July. The PPP led government has so far failed to take any action.

The victims of Qasba killing belongs to the families who had migrated from India in 1947 following Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s call that he was building Pakistan for the Muslims of India.
Meanwhile the MQM has blamed that TALIBAN has taken over ANP and fighting the local residents to set up their strong hold in Karachi as a base.

Firing rockets and throwing hand grenades on a civilian area are Taliban like attack.
While the blood shed continues in Karachi, the PPP led Government has so far shown its inability to control the situation.
