Karachi Killings: Army Should Take Over Pakistan, Says Sattar Edhi
Karachi: Abdul Sattar Edhi, the Renowned Philanthropist and a selfless Social activist called upon the army Chief Ashfaq Pervez Kayani to take over the country for a limited period of time for cleaning the mess of lawlessness, corruption and Taliban militant’s activities in Karachi.
Sattar Edhi was addressing a press conference on Saturday amidst killings of innocent residents of Orangi which left 102 dead in four days since Tuesday.
Sattar Edhi said the army, after cleaning the present dirty and corrupt political system, can restore the government back to the people.
Edhi said “The army needs to bring a revolution and end to the violence because a revolution brought by the people will cause much bloodshed.”------
“After the creation of Pakistan the ruling class took hold of the country, which is indifferent to the problems of the poor people. The opposition and the government are two sides of the same coin and there is no difference between them.”, he said
He said that militants have locked the Indian origin Urdu speaking Pakistanis in their Qasba and Aligarh homes on gun point. They are facing starvation. Satter Edhi said he is going with relief materials for them.
