Pervez Musharraf Declared Proclaimed Offender

RAWALPINDI:  May 30  The Anti-Terrorist Special Court hearing Benazir Bhutto’s murder case on Monday has declared former President General Pervez Musharraf a proclaimed offender. The judge has ordered that notices should be published in news papers that Pervez Musharraf is a wanted offender.  The court was hearing the case inside the Adyala Jail where the arrested accuseds were produced.

Earlier the FIA officials informed the court that warrant of arrest of Pervez Musharraf was ineffective as the British authorities declined to comply with the arrest warrant of Pervez Musharraf as there was no agreement between the two countries for exchange of accused persons. FIA officials pleaded before the court that Pervez Musharraf be declared a proclaimed offender.
