India To Buy C-17 Globmaster military Transport Planes

India is committed to replace its Old Russian military transport planes with new multi purpose giant carriers. India’s cabinet has approved on Monday a program to buy military transport planes from aerospace Boeing worth $4.0-billion.
The biggest ever deal with the American firm to buy C-17 Globmaster III military transport planes. The C-17 is heavy lifter aircraft and can carry large combat equipment and troops with maximum load of 170,900 lb (77,500 kg). The C-17 can operate from runways as short as 3,500ft. The aircraft can fly for 4,400 Km without refueling.
